About DaVinci Pro

In order to provide enhanced support for special requirements and high-end development needs without raising the base price of DaVinci out of the range of many potential users, DaVinci releases from version 3.0 onward are made available at two registration levels: Standard and Professional.

Features exclusive to DaVinci Professional

• TWAIN interface support for scanning devices
  
  
• Faster 32 bit DIB conversion, thanks to a specially-optimized "ConvertDIB" function (flags IPF_IMPORT_32BIT)
  
  
• Multi-page TIFF Support via the ipTifPageCount and uPageNumber members of the DAVPARAMS structure
  
  
• Rotation control for metafiles and enhanced metafiles
  
  
• Leonardo's functions can be bound into your application via a statically linkable LIB library in Microsoft Visual C++ (4.x, 5.x) and Borland C++ (4.x, 5.x)

• Many internal functions are optimized for enhanced performance
  
  
• Import/export of TIFF and PNG files with 48 bits per pixel as DIB with biBitCount=48 color depth (permitting R,G and B at 16 bits-per-pixel color depth, or gray shades) (note that this high-end functionality falls outside Microsoft's specification)
  
  
• A DIBSelectColors function is provided to for more professional results with color reductions from TrueColor to 256 colors
